Connecting Energy - open interfaces for PV systems

An efficient energy supply means making use of synergies. As digitalization, automation, and global network technologies continue to expand, new ways of boosting efficiency in local energy systems are unlocked.

Fronius is a pioneer in harnessing the potential offered by synergies in the photovoltaic sector. We develop solutions for easily and intelligently connecting solar energy to third-party systems, allowing you to plan a unique setup tailored to your exact needs.

Maximum flexibility: Modbus, SunSpec, and APIs for smart home integration

From heat pumps to home automation systems, third-party components can be easily connected to Fronius products. The energy generated, including any PV surplus, is optimally distributed and used through intelligent energy management, thus increasing the rate of self-consumption and shortening the time until the PV system generates a profit.

The four digital energy management outputs, Modbus RTU/TCP (SunSpec) and Fronius Solar API (JSON) device interfaces, and the Solar.web Query API and Flexibility API cloud-to-cloud interfaces ensure maximum flexibility in your choice of components. Our systems can also be planned with individual components as a customized modular concept to meet specific needs.
